Alrighty, let's get straight to it then. The Supercard DS TWO arrived at my door today courtesy of romman of the Supercard team. The package was labelled EXTREMELY URGENT, got here at record speeds, and had a total of 5 layers of packaging. Talk about eco friendly... :P
Anyways, I had 2 hours of fiddling with the cart, and I put out two YouTube videos (you'll see them at the end of my post) with my impressions, and demoing the free-cheat abilities of the Supercard DS TWO.
Currently I have mixed feelings about the cart. For one, the DS side is absolutely fantastic. Commercial rom loading works fine, save state is FAST, slow motion works as advertised, the cheat works, and more than anything, the menu is smooth like the AceKard menu. It runs FANTASTIC, and is a significant improvement to the first EOS, which was a huge jump already from the old bloated Supercard firmware. In that respect the Supercard DS TWO BLOWS my initial expectations away completely.
But the bad news is... none of the advertised features are remotely close to completion! eBook reader, doesn't seem to even exist, where's my PDF reader?! Movies, if you check out my YouTube video, none of the browsers even see the avi file I dumped in there. Let's not talk about the absence of the SNES emulator. It's nice to see that the GBA emulator is there though, and it does look a lot better than the iPlayer one, though compatibility seems the same with some bare bare initial tests.

SUPERCARD DS TWO
Okay so yesterday night the mail dude came in with a package gameplayfun.com, wasn't expecting it but I was so happy when I ripped open the box and it said DS TWO.I got the card and waited for the firmware and its out now so here are a few first impressions:Build Quality Is not as good as the iPLAYER but is better than both Acekard 2i and M3i Zero, so in terms of build the card is good. The card pops in and out of my DSi XL very smoothly like a retail game, I am pointing this out because I have had flashcarts which are very hard to take out of the DS :PIt is already upgraded for the 1.4 fix and uses fish tycoon as the iconThe bootstrap will not need a USB flasher but will update like the iPLAYER meaning it can be upgraded even if the DSi is already on a firmware that blocks it.The firmware takes a few seconds to loadThe new EOS looks much better than the DSONE version. There is a new mode in the GUI like DSi style mode, when you boot up the DSTWO you will be presented with all the options in a DSi like menu which I think is really coolThe GBA emulator is the exact same as the iPLAYER but has a better looking UI.The GBA emulator's UI is buggy and froze on me 3 timesThe EOS gui has a new start menu with features for games and file operations like Cut, Copy, Delete etc.Slow motion did not work on the games I testedSNES is not readyWatching standard video formats is not ready so you have to use .DPG till its readyThe start menu crashes sometimesThe FreeCheat mode is a bit complicated at first but after you follow elixir's guide on GBATemp its very easy.I tried out on a few games and was amazed on how cool and fun the whole thing is.As of now the cart is pretty good except for a few bugs here and there.Any questions?
